"Our association with LMonk to conduct the School Wellbeing program is one of the many good decisions we have taken this academic year. We started with full-fledged classes in school in the month of June, 2022 after two years of online schooling due to the pandemic.

Students were enthusiastic to be able to come back to school and to experience school life. However, they had lot of challenges both physically and emotionally. Students had several behavioural issues, many factors contributed to this, which included excessive screen time, lack of physical sporting activities, lack of socializing skills, addiction to online gaming, mainly because of the lifestyle they led during the lockdown days.

Tracking these issues were a joint effort by the entire school community which included the facilitators, the special educators, and the School Psychologist.

Mrs. Geetha Dinkar, the School Psychologist from LMonk has already conducted and is planning to conduct several awareness sessions at periodic intervals for the students according to their age and needs. She also conducts orientation and awareness sessions on different topics not only for the students, but also for teachers and parents too. One-on-one interactions is also given for students which is helping them better to deal with the socio-emotional challenges along with the help in their academics. This in turn helps the students to improve their overall performance in school and their routine life in a better way.

Also, the periodic sessions and guidance provided by the School Psychologist to the facilitators helps them to understand about the different learning challenges faced by the students. This empowers the teachers on how to mentor and guide each student according to their needs and make learning in a more engaging and effective way. We look forward to working with Mrs. Geetha and Team LMonk in the coming academic year as well."
